Face to Face After School Creative Writing COURSES
In Venue Face-To-Face Classes
Due to Irish Government Guidelines, unfortunately all In Venue Face-to-Face Classes are currently cancelled.
Alternatively, you can book our Autumn Term of Online Classes
We are delighted to be offering In Venue Face-to-Face classes again this September. We will be following our COVID policy to protect your children.
These creative writing courses are for groups of children (max twelve). The same children will attend every week for a full term. Each class lasts for fifty-five minutes. We are allowing ten minutes between each class group to air and sanitise the room.
- The creative writing courses will be made up of group discussion, feedback on writing and presentation of new material.
- Children will spend some time writing individually. Limited group work will involve social distancing (1.5 metres)
- Children from the same family or who travel together to class may sit in small pods together.
Students will be given the option to read their work aloud during class time and receive feedback OR to leave their story on the teacher’s desk so that it can be read out by the teacher and commented upon in class (anonymously if the student wishes).
- At least every second week, students will receive verbal feedback on their writing from the teacher. All feedback will be constructive and encouraging. Students will also be encouraged to give positive feedback on one-another’s writing
*If government guidelines require the cancellation of face-to-face classes, these classes will take place on Zoom online instead.
