Adult Summer Writing Week in Skerries Mills

I had an interesting and lively group of  adult writers in Skerries Mills last week.  Everyday from 10.30 -1.30p.m. we played about with fictional characters (a neurosurgeon called Eileen featured frequently), and put them in scenes using dialogue and action. Children’s Summer Camp

My first children’s creative writing summer camp in Skerries Mills was a great success with a wonderful group of nine clever girls. We wrote stories about dancers, scary step-fathers, lost dogs, blind and deaf twins, little girls who wanted to be pop-stars, a unicorn called Diablo and being deserted on an island. Fiona Moore was a lovely fifteen year old girl who attended writing classes with me from September until Easter this year.  Fiona was a hip, contemporary and humorous writer.
