Creative Writing Summer Camps 2017

About the courses

Week-long summer courses run for five days.

Each day we cover a main topic, for example the first day we do a guided writing exercise to help the students understand that, even when writing the same story, each of them has a unique voice and way of doing it. We then move onto creating characters, which we put into a story during the week.

Day Two we learn how to show character through action and dialogue.
Day three we focus on how to write believable dialogue and move on to how to hook a reader from the start of a story.
Day four covers how to plot a classic story, and Day five covers endings and editing a story.

Our aim for the week is for everyone to have fun writing and to achieve their individuals aims.

We do individual writing, pair work and group work. There are two small breaks every day. We take the children outside to eat their snacks and play games. It is good for them to get fresh air between writing sessions. It is also a brilliant way to break the ice and make new friends.

Pricing
The price for each camp is €145 if paid before 30th April, and €155 thereafter.

Refund policy
A refund will be made for cancellations submitted in writing on or before a date 30 days prior to the start of the course, workshop or summer camp. No refunds will be allowed after this date.

In the unlikely event that the course is cancelled, a full refund of fees will be issued.
